Beeping on Vogue’s literary radar, Bill Clegg’s drug and sex-crazed memoir is definitely a title to consider for this year’s summer reading list. Published by Little, Brown, the positive negative composition of the art, teamed with jagged contours and type mirrors, a great deal, the work of Saul Bass. Weather this was done willfully or not, the result is successful.

Saul Bass’s poster for the American 1955 film, The Man With The Golden Arm manifests this comparison. Clearly, an important contribution, to the visual communication or visual rhetoric of addiction and substance abuse.
