Since the debut of “All The Lovers”, an effervescent have-a-good-time track, I’ve been anxiously anticipating the release of Aphrodite, Kylie Minogue’s 11th studio album. Scheduled for a July 5th release, the album has been designated as a Kylie’s back-to-basics record, and if this rings true, who else other than Stuart Price (the principal sound behind Madonna’s Confessions) to curate such a project?
“Get Outta My Way” squeezes fresh Kylie concentrate right into your ears, bringing back Kylie in a style that can’t come any sooner for the hot months ahead. Aphrodite, the album’s title track, starts with Kylie asking you “if you can feel her on your stereo,” and boy can you! The track’s immersed with late 80’s tinge, coupled with drum-like stomping and a cut throat chorus that you can’t help but groove to.
