Impulsively, I took up an offer to bake a semi-homemade pizza. The dough, store bought and seasoned with garlic and herbs from Trader Joe’s, made for a fool-proof canvas that one can beautifully roll out and blanket with whatever one desires. A simple trio of tomato sauce, mozzarella and a pre-shaved cheese blend created this deliciously, straightforward pizza. No frills but lot’s of good flavor. Caramelized Vidalia onions and fresh Arugula, sprinkled right before serving, added punch and a fresh zip of green. Behind the scenes kudos go to olive oil, salt, pepper and a dash of garlic powder.
