There are a few things to note about the unpretentious yet still quite hip Isabella’s. Situated on Columbus Avenue, adjacent to the Museum of Natural History, it is one of the Upper West Side’s busiest establishments on a Sunday morning. The restaurant’s Mediterranean inspired menu is above average, bringing forth some respectable home-made pasta dishes and brunch fare. Seasonally, and depending on the time of day, bread baskets are filled with pumpkin bread and panettone. Most notable are the lemon scented fries, a cleaner, fragrant twist on potatoes with a vinegary disposition.
